Sravasti is one of the most sacred pilgrimage shrines of Buddhism. In ancient times the capital of the Kosala kingdom, it was here that the merchant Anathapindika gifted the famous Jetavana Grove to Lord Buddha. Visit the serene Gandhakuti (Buddha’s fragrant chamber), the sacred Anandabodhi tree, and the stupas of Angulimala and Anathapindika.

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival from Lucknow/Ayodhya & Jetavana Grove

Dinner

Pickup from Lucknow Airport or Ayodhya, scenic drive to Sravasti. Check in at hotel. In the afternoon, enter the peaceful archaeological gardens of Jetavana Monastery. Meditate at Gandhakuti and under the sacred Anandabodhi Tree where Lord Buddha preached.

DAY 2

Day 2: Angulimala Stupa, International Monasteries & Departure

Breakfast

Morning visit to the dramatic fortified excavation mounds of Mahet, including Angulimala Stupa and Anathapindika Stupa. Tour the Thai Buddhist Temple, Sri Lankan monastery, and Daen Mahamongkol meditation center before departure to Lucknow / Ayodhya.

Day 3: Optional Extended Buddhist Excursion

Breakfast

Optional onward transfer to Kapilavastu (Piprahwa) or Kushinagar to continue the Holy Buddhist Pilgrimage Circuit.
