Arrival in Varanasi – Sacred Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat

Arrive at Varanasi Airport or Railway Station where our tour representative greets you warmly. Transfer to your hotel and unwind. In the late afternoon, proceed to the ancient riverfront of Kashi. Experience a private boat ride along the sacred Ganges as dusk falls, witnessing the historic ghats lit with oil lamps. Varanasi Sunrise Boat, Sarnath (First Sermon Site & Dhamek Stupa) to Kushinagar

Begin the day with a serene dawn boat cruise along the Ganges observing morning rituals, bathers, and prayers. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, drive to Sarnath (just 10 km away), the sacred site of Isipatana where Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon (Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta) to the five disciples. Visit the monumental Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, the ruins of Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum housing the iconic Ashoka Lion Capital (India's national emblem). After lunch, embark on a comfortable air-conditioned highway drive across eastern Uttar Pradesh to Kushinagar (approx. 220 km / 4.5 hrs). Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Walk through the monastic ruins and visit the colossal Ramabhar Stupa, the holy cremation ground of Buddha. After lunch, visit the serene Matha Kuar Shrine and explore the vibrant international architectural traditions honoring Buddha: the grand Wat Thai Temple complex, the Japanese Peace Temple, the Linh Son Temple of Vietnam, and the Tibetan Monastery. Enjoy a peaceful sunset meditation session at the Lotus Meditation Park.

Morning Meditation, Kushinagar Museum & Departure via Gorakhpur

Enjoy a calm morning breakfast surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of Kushinagar. Visit the Kushinagar Archaeological Museum to admire ancient Buddhist seals, terracotta relics, and coins excavated from the ruins. Next, depart for Gorakhpur. En route or in Gorakhpur, visit the revered Gorakhnath Temple complex and the historic Gita Press. Finally, transfer to Gorakhpur Airport / Railway Station or return to Varanasi for your scheduled onward journey, carrying memories of peace and enlightenment.
